Lhamo Namco Nnture Reserve :-
Namco Lake, which is 70 km long and 30 km wide, is the second largest saltwater lake in China and the highest lake in the world with an elevation of 4,718 meters. It nestles between the Tanggula Mountain and Northern Tibet grassland. Namco means in Tibetan "Holy Lake", famous for its beautiful scenery. Namco Nature Reserve lies in Damxung County of Lhasa City and Bangar County of Nagchu, 210 kilometers away from Lhasa City.
Nyalam and Zham Nature Reserve
Nyalam and Zham Nature Reserve belongs to the synthetical type with an area of 6,852 hectare. The main protection objects are wild animals and forest ecological system. The nature reserve lies in Nyalam County at the sea level of 2,400 meters, with a warm and wet sub-tropic climate. Thanks to the abundant rainfall and the low sea level, it is very clear to the vertical scenery of the forest vegetation, distributing highland bush, sub-highland needle-leaf forest, mountain broad-leaf forest and mountain evergreen forest. From May rain season every year, in the nature reserve the cloud and mist rise, mountain flowers open, innumerous springs flow, and every waterfall shows. In the deep place of the dense forest, Tibetan Snow Chickens, Little Pandas, and water dogs move about. Besides, many rare animals live there, for examples, Muntiacus muntjak, Butastur teesa, Felis chaus. Most of them are national second-grade key protection animals.

Gyirong Jiang Village Nature Reserve
Gyirong Nature Reserve is synthetical type with an area of 340,00 hectares. The key protection objects are wild plantation and forest ecological system. The nature reserve lies in Gyirong Valley south of Himalaya Mountain and at both sides of Jiang Village. Influencing by air current of India Ocean, it is warm and damp with an average temperature of 10? about in a year in Gyirong. Thanks to the advantaged natural resources, flowers and grass grow thriving, especially some rare trees, for example, Tibetan longleaf pine, longleaf spruce and Himalaya yew. This kind of three Himalaya trees, which have been claimed key protection wild plant, are found only in Gyirong In nature reserve, these rare trees are made a plant kingdom with other arbor, shrub, grass and liane.

Nyingchi PagqiNature Reserve
The giant cypress, also called Yarlung Zangbo cypress, is a species peculiar to Tibet. On the slope southwest of the Bajie Village at over 40 kilometers west to Nyingchi County is a green, luxuriant forest of giant cypresses. The largest tree is over 2,500 years old, 50 meters high, and 18 meters thick. Local people regard it as a divine tree. This giant cypress forest records a natural history of several thousand years, and is highly valuable in the studies of plants, climate, geographical and geological conditions, hydrology, air pollution and human activities during the past millennia.

Riwoqe Chamoling Nature Reserve
The nature reserve is animal type, with an area of 640,000 hectare, and the chief protection objects are red deer and its ecological system. The nature reserve lies in the north east of Tibet and the upper part of Lancang River. Wild red deer is big rare animal, which is under key protection of state and Tibet. In the early 70s, Tibet set up the first training center of red deer. Now, red deer has decreased in China. However, more than 1,000 wild red deer concentrated in Tibet Riwoqe Nature Reserve

Rdzayul Nature Reserve
The reserve is located at the southeast corner of the Tibetan Plateau, at the juncture of two parts of the Himalaya Mountain Range. Its aim is to protect the subtropical evergreen latifoliate forest, rare subtropical animals and the high-yield Yunnan pine forest. It is warm and humid, with a great variety of species and a relatively complete forest ecological system. The reserve consists of the Ciba Gully Nature Reserve, Shuzhub Village Nature Reserve and Lhamo Lungba Nature Reserve. No people live there. The Ciba Gully Nature Reserve is for protecting the natural ecological system, Yaozhu Village Nature Reserve is for protecting high-yield tropical primitive coniferous forest. The forest of Yunnan pine trees has an intact primitive landscape, with a regular forest. The total stock volume of trees is about 200,000 cubic meters, an average of over 1,200 cubic meters per hectare. Various growth factors are four to five times of the counterparts in other places of China. The Lhamo Lungba Gully Nature Reserve is for protecting the subtropical evergreen latifoliate forest. The primitive forest landscape is well preserved here. It is a haunt of rare wild animals, such as the Bangladesh tiger, bear, leopard, pangolin, golden monkeys.

Xainza Nature Reserve
The nature reserve is animal type, with an area of 4 million hectares. The main protection objects of the nature reserve are black-necked cranes and wetland ecological system. Set up in 1993, Xainza Nature Reserve lies in Xainza County of Nagchu Prefecture, north of Tibet Autonomous Region, where there are many lake-basin belts. Because its location is in south somewhat and the sea level is lower than the north and middle of Qiangtang Highland, the temperature there is a little high and little amount fields can be planted in Qingke. The rainfall of there in a year is 300 millimeter. Owing to the supply of thawy glacier and snow of Gangdisi Mountain, the mineral containing of the lake water is low, especially the grass and inner rivers forming good inner wetland and water ecological system, for the water substance and water birds to develop and live. So, the nature reserve becomes the ideal place for the black-necked cranes to rest and also becomes the highest at sea level and biggest in area nature reserve in seven nature reserves for black-necked cranes protection.
Lhun Zhub Black-crane Nature Reserve The nature reserve is animal type, with an area of 9,680 hectares. The main protection objects there are black-necked cranes and their rest places which lies in Pengbo Valley of branch of Lhasa River, north of Lhun Zhub County, at the sea level of 3,800 meters about. There are many river valleys, meadows, wetlands, man-made forests and farmlands in the nature reserve. From Sep. to Oct. every year, black-necked cranes spent their winter flying from northern Tibet, and in the Apri. to May of the next year, the black-necked cranes migrate to Northern Tibet reproducing. There are about 1,520 black-necked cranes resting in nature reserve and more than 3,000 rest there by the way to the other places.
